CHAPTER 4: Asteria
Asteria is a collection inspired by the sky and by those who have observed it.
Conceived as a tribute to the great astronomers, from Antiquity to the present day, Asteria is part of a broader reflection on time, cycles and the observation of movement. The collection finds its roots in the scientific world, but also in a sensitive and poetic approach to the cosmos.
Conceived as a tribute to the great astronomers, Asteria is part of a reflection on time, cycles and the observation of movement. From Antiquity to the present day, these figures have sought to understand the sky, to measure its rhythms and to give meaning to the invisible. The collection draws from this scientific and human heritage to build a universe that is both rigorous and sensitive.
The Asteria universe is nocturnal. It takes place at twilight, when daylight fades and the sky begins to reveal its stars. Deep colors, references to the blue hour, a strong connection with the Saint-Michel-l’Observatoire observatory and with the figure of Michel Mayor: so many elements that structure the project. Even before revealing the watch, Asteria establishes a narrative framework where time is not only measured, but perceived, heard and observed.
After Renaissance, and the dawn of day in 2024, Asteria will mark the beginning of night, and thus a new chapter in 2027.
